Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Real Estate Development and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Emaar The Economic City (TADAWUL:4220), which rose 6.50% or 0.52 points to trade at 8.52 at the close. Meanwhile, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (TADAWUL:1321) added 6.37% or 3.20 points to end at 53.40 and Middle East Specialized Cables Co (TADAWUL:2370) was up 4.79% or 0.60 points to 13.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arabian Internet and Communications Services Co CSJC (TADAWUL:7202), which fell 3.96% or 11.00 points to trade at 267.00 at the close. Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (TADAWUL:8150) declined 2.56% or 0.34 points to end at 12.96 and Al Kathiri Holding Co (TADAWUL:3008) was down 2.25% or 1.60 points to 69.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 161 to 94 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.62% or 1.32 to $82.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.65% or 1.41 to hit $87.02 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 6.70 to trade at $2,025.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.75% to 4.12, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 101.16.
