Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Retail and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.74% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Advanced Petrochemical Company (TADAWUL:2330), which rose 5.50% or 2.55 points to trade at 48.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co (TADAWUL:1111) added 4.21% or 8.60 points to end at 213.00 and Leejam Sports Company SJSC (TADAWUL:1830) was up 3.85% or 4.00 points to 107.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were United Cooperative Assurance Co (TADAWUL:8190), which fell 9.88% or 1.28 points to trade at 11.68 at the close. Red Sea Housing Services Company (TADAWUL:4230) declined 9.54% or 2.70 points to end at 25.60 and AXA Cooperative Insurance Company SJSC (TADAWUL:8250) was down 3.68% or 0.92 points to 24.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 122 to 101 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in United Cooperative Assurance Co (TADAWUL:8190) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.88% or 1.28 to 11.68. Shares in Red Sea Housing Services Company (TADAWUL:4230) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.54% or 2.70 to 25.60.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.51% or 0.48 to $95.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.60% or 0.60 to hit $100.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 6.50 to trade at $1,711.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.06% to 3.80, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.05% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 107.06.
