Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Industrial Investment and Petrochemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.66% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8311), which rose 9.96% or 2.22 points to trade at 24.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310) added 9.86% or 2.50 points to end at 27.85 and Al ELM Information Security Company CJSC (TADAWUL:7203) was up 6.92% or 17.80 points to 275.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:2082), which fell 2.35% or 3.40 points to trade at 141.40 at the close. SABIC AgriNutrients Co (TADAWUL:2020) declined 2.28% or 3.80 points to end at 162.60 and Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (TADAWUL:2160) was down 2.22% or 1.00 points to 44.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 135 to 81 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Al ELM Information Security Company CJSC (TADAWUL:7203) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.92% or 17.80 to 275.20.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.04% or 0.04 to $101.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.07% or 0.07 to hit $104.88 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 3.30 to trade at $1,885.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.49% to 3.94, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.76% at 103.75.
