Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Media & Publishing and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Chemical Company (SE:2230), which rose 7.81% or 1.91 points to trade at 26.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) added 5.26% or 1.85 points to end at 37.05 and Saudi Real Estate Co. (SE:4020) was up 3.36% or 0.38 points to 11.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which fell 2.61% or 0.28 points to trade at 10.44 at the close. Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE:8150) declined 1.90% or 0.30 points to end at 15.50 and Almarai Company (SE:2280) was down 1.56% or 0.80 points to 50.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 121 to 58 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Chemical Company (SE:2230) rose to 5-year lows; up 7.81% or 1.91 to 26.40.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.35% or 0.80 to $58.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.04% or 0.67 to hit $63.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.35 to trade at $1513.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 4.1478, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.898.
