Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Cement and Petrochemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.62% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005), which rose 9.94% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Southern Province Cement Co. (SE:3050) added 9.79% or 4.45 points to end at 49.90 and Northern Region Cement Co (SE:3004) was up 8.08% or 0.74 points to 9.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Electricity Company (SE:5110), which fell 3.89% or 0.66 points to trade at 16.30 at the close. Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (SE:8260) declined 3.80% or 0.48 points to end at 12.16 and Saudi Marke (SE:4006) was down 3.00% or 0.54 points to 17.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 98 to 77 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Southern Province Cement Co. (SE:3050) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.79% or 4.45 to 49.90.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.28% or 0.18 to $63.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $72.17 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1285.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.24% to 4.2153, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 97.047.
