Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Cement, Telecoms & IT and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.54% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060), which rose 4.65% or 4.60 points to trade at 103.60 at the close. Meanwhile, The National Co for Glass Industrie (SE:2150) added 4.38% or 1.95 points to end at 46.45 and SABIC AgriNutrients Co (SE:2020) was up 4.11% or 7.60 points to 192.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co (SE:1111), which fell 3.32% or 5.60 points to trade at 163.00 at the close. Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:4140) declined 2.86% or 3.00 points to end at 102.00 and Baazeem Trading Co (SE:4051) was down 2.03% or 2.40 points to 115.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 115 to 93 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in The National Co for Glass Industrie (SE:2150) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.38% or 1.95 to 46.45. Shares in SABIC AgriNutrients Co (SE:2020) rose to all time highs; up 4.11% or 7.60 to 192.40.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.83% or 0.70 to $85.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.79% or 0.69 to hit $88.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 11.75 to trade at $1824.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.10% to 4.2533, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7513.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 95.615.
