Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Hotels & Tourism and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230), which rose 4.57% or 1.48 points to trade at 33.90 at the close. Meanwhile, AL JOUF CEMENT COMPANY (SE:3091) added 3.69% or 0.60 points to end at 16.85 and Saudi Transport & Investment Co (SE:4110) was up 3.68% or 2.62 points to 73.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100), which fell 1.94% or 0.53 points to trade at 26.80 at the close. Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) declined 1.64% or 1.06 points to end at 63.75 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE:8150) was down 1.48% or 0.61 points to 40.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 127 to 37.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.48% or 1.49 to $61.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.93% or 1.25 to hit $66.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.01% or 11.90 to trade at $1189.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.36% to 4.2456, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.60% at 94.60.
