Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Telecoms & IT and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.44% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270), which rose 9.52% or 2.20 points to trade at 25.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) added 6.32% or 1.32 points to end at 22.22 and The Saudi Investment Bank (SE:1030) was up 4.28% or 0.80 points to 19.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (SE:2082), which fell 9.95% or 15.60 points to trade at 141.20 at the close. Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (SE:8200) declined 3.06% or 0.56 points to end at 17.74 and Sadr Logistics Co (SE:1832) was down 3.01% or 2.10 points to 67.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 135 to 88 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Saudi Investment Bank (SE:1030) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.28% or 0.80 to 19.50.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.39% or 0.38 to $96.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.25% or 0.25 to hit $101.32 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 8.15 to trade at $1,931.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.10% to 4.09, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 99.65.
