Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Cement, Energy & Utilities and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Basic Industries Corp (TADAWUL:2010), which rose 5.46% or 4.30 points to trade at 83.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230) added 5.42% or 0.37 points to end at 7.20 and Middle East Pharmaceutical (TADAWUL:4016) was up 4.90% or 7.00 points to 150.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240), which fell 9.99% or 1.48 points to trade at 13.34 at the close. Saudi Cable Company (TADAWUL:2110) declined 9.90% or 8.30 points to end at 75.50 and Astra Industrial Group (TADAWUL:1212) was down 6.21% or 11.80 points to 178.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 170 to 110 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240) fell to 5-year lows; losing 9.99% or 1.48 to 13.34.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.45% or 1.21 to $84.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.27% or 1.11 to hit $88.53 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 17.55 to trade at $2,274.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.37% to 4.03, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 104.66.
