Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Media & Publishing and Industrial Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (TADAWUL:8150), which rose 9.91% or 1.82 points to trade at 20.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (TADAWUL:6070) added 7.83% or 4.50 points to end at 62.00 and International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:2082) was up 5.74% or 22.20 points to 409.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030), which fell 10.00% or 3.10 points to trade at 27.90 at the close. Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8260) declined 10.00% or 1.60 points to end at 14.40 and Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8100) was down 9.98% or 1.98 points to 17.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 166 to 112 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (TADAWUL:6070) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.83% or 4.50 to 62.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.81% or 0.63 to $78.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.66% or 0.55 to hit $83.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 23.30 to trade at $2,351.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.13% to 4.05, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 105.00.
