Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Petrochemicals and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.30% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Baazeem Trading Co (SE:4051), which rose 5.76% or 6.80 points to trade at 124.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (SE:4013) added 5.19% or 8.80 points to end at 178.20 and ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130) was up 4.95% or 2.05 points to 43.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Gypsum Company (SE:2090), which fell 2.70% or 1.30 points to trade at 46.80 at the close. Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co (SE:2081) declined 2.14% or 2.60 points to end at 119.00 and United Int Transportation Company (SE:4260) was down 1.97% or 1.00 points to 49.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 116 to 79 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.95% or 2.05 to 43.50.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.14% or 0.95 to $82.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.21% or 1.04 to hit $84.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.85 to trade at $1783.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.01% to 4.3689, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.555.
