Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Baazeem Trading Co (SE:4051), which rose 10.00% or 11.80 points to trade at 129.80 at the close. Meanwhile, United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190) added 7.78% or 1.58 points to end at 21.90 and Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE:2360) was up 5.83% or 6.00 points to 109.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002), which fell 2.70% or 4.00 points to trade at 144.00 at the close. Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE:8150) declined 2.44% or 1.40 points to end at 56.00 and Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) was down 1.97% or 0.34 points to 16.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 97 to 88 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Baazeem Trading Co (SE:4051) rose to all time highs; up 10.00% or 11.80 to 129.80. Shares in United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 7.78% or 1.58 to 21.90. Shares in Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE:2360) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.83% or 6.00 to 109.00.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.95% or 0.50 to $53.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.81% or 0.45 to hit $55.98 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.73% or 13.50 to trade at $1862.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.15% to 4.5489, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 90.537.
