Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Cement and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.20% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Hokair Group (TADAWUL:1820), which rose 9.59% or 0.21 points to trade at 2.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Tanmiah Food Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:2281) added 5.07% or 5.80 points to end at 120.20 and SABIC AgriNutrients Co (TADAWUL:2020) was up 4.48% or 6.00 points to 140.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8311), which fell 3.86% or 0.48 points to trade at 11.96 at the close. Alinma Bank (TADAWUL:1150) declined 3.52% or 1.40 points to end at 38.35 and Knowledge Economic City (TADAWUL:4310) was down 3.47% or 0.54 points to 15.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 143 to 118 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.34% or 0.27 to $79.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.34% or 0.28 to hit $82.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 5.65 to trade at $1,969.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.12% to 4.15, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 100.94.
