Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Industrial Investment and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.08% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SE:2030), which rose 9.91% or 4.25 points to trade at 47.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001) added 6.79% or 0.52 points to end at 8.18 and Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) was up 5.57% or 1.37 points to 25.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300), which fell 5.09% or 1.85 points to trade at 34.50 at the close. Southern Province Cement Co. (SE:3050) declined 5.09% or 3.50 points to end at 65.30 and Al Hammadi Co (SE:4007) was down 3.20% or 0.90 points to 27.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 98 to 80 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.57% or 1.37 to 25.95.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.18% or 0.90 to $42.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.49% or 0.66 to hit $45.06 a barrel, while the October Gold Futures contract rose 1.60% or 32.30 to trade at $2050.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 4.4177, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.332.
