Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Industrial Investment and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.02% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Aseer Trading Tourism&Manufacturing (SE:4080), which rose 6.59% or 1.52 points to trade at 24.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) added 5.20% or 3.20 points to end at 64.70 and Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) was up 4.89% or 0.82 points to 17.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070), which fell 4.27% or 3.90 points to trade at 87.40 at the close. Alinma Tokio Marine Co (SE:8312) declined 3.55% or 1.40 points to end at 38.00 and Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) was down 2.86% or 1.80 points to 61.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 111 to 80 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.20% or 3.20 to 64.70. Shares in Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.89% or 0.82 to 17.60.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.55% or 1.57 to $59.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.41% or 1.56 to hit $63.30 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.70 to trade at $1730.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.36% to 4.4260, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 92.650.
