Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 13.09% or 2.55 points to trade at 22.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 2.71% or 2.20 points to end at 83.50 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 2.51% or 4.40 points to 179.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 0.75% or 0.36 points to trade at 47.73 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) declined 0.49% or 0.5 points to end at 101.3 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 0.14% or 0.10 points to 71.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 423 to 172 and 41 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.23% or 0.11 to $48.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $49.83 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.34% or 17.75 to trade at $1338.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 9.3988, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 8.4288.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 95.62.
