Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 7.95% or 1.73 points to trade at 23.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 4.05% or 1.20 points to end at 30.80 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 2.95% or 0.4 points to 13.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 3.03% or 0.7 points to trade at 21.1 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 2.62% or 0.03 points to end at 1.26 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 1.03% or 3.2 points to 308.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 105 to 68 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.15% or 0.54 to $46.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.46% or 0.72 to hit $48.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.65 to trade at $1320.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.36% to 9.2967, while USD/NOK rose 0.70% to 8.3361.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.96.
