Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Construction and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 2.75% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP), which rose 0.36% or 0.06 points to trade at 15.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) fell 0.54% or 0.07 points to end at 11.95 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was down 0.90% or 0.10 points to 11.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 5.85% or 1.18 points to trade at 19.00 at the close. Text SA (WA:TXTP) declined 4.42% or 2.50 points to end at 54.10 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) was down 4.42% or 0.38 points to 8.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 388 to 137 and 80 ended unchanged.
Shares in Text SA (WA:TXTP) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.42% or 2.50 to 54.10.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.20% or 0.14 to $69.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.26% or 0.19 to hit $73.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 12.90 to trade at $2,627.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.47% to 4.33, while USD/PLN rose 0.65% to 4.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 106.23.
