Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Chemicals and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 2.49%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which rose 0.55% or 0.06 points to trade at 10.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) fell 0.05% or 0.04 points to end at 84.14 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) was down 0.37% or 0.20 points to 53.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 5.44% or 1.90 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 4.59% or 0.85 points to end at 17.67 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was down 4.16% or 2.98 points to 68.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 315 to 140 and 179 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.63% or 1.92 to $50.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.62% or 2.23 to hit $59.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.90 to trade at $1246.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.10% to 4.2794, while USD/PLN fell 0.41% to 3.7607.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 96.718.
