Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Energy and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 2.19% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 4.12% or 8.00 points to trade at 202.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) added 0.41% or 10.00 points to end at 2,450.00 and X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:XTB) was up 0.28% or 0.20 points to 70.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allegro (WA:ALEP), which fell 6.38% or 1.99 points to trade at 29.15 at the close. Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) declined 5.95% or 0.99 points to end at 15.58 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was down 5.39% or 0.44 points to 7.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 350 to 180 and 87 ended unchanged.
Shares in CCC SA (WA:CCCP) rose to 5-year highs; rising 4.12% or 8.00 to 202.00. Shares in Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) fell to all time lows; losing 5.95% or 0.99 to 15.58. Shares in Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.39% or 0.44 to 7.64.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.79% or 0.54 to $68.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.73% or 0.53 to hit $72.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 3.90 to trade at $2,569.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.00% to 4.32, while USD/PLN fell 0.14% to 4.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.59.
