Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.85%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 2.03% or 0.56 points to trade at 28.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 0.37% or 0.16 points to end at 43.87 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) was up 0.36% or 0.17 points to 47.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which fell 6.22% or 6.50 points to trade at 98.00 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 4.19% or 5.08 points to end at 116.20 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was down 3.99% or 2.46 points to 59.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 297 to 205 and 178 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.50% or 0.87 to $57.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.44% or 0.91 to hit $62.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 11.15 to trade at $1283.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.03% to 4.2016, while USD/PLN fell 0.12% to 3.5450.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 93.15.
