Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.72%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY), which rose 1.08% or 8.00 points to trade at 751.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 0.64% or 0.55 points to end at 86.55 and Text SA (WA:TXTP) was up 0.48% or 0.40 points to 83.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT), which fell 3.93% or 105.00 points to trade at 2,570.00 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) declined 3.59% or 3.72 points to end at 99.98 and Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) was down 3.38% or 0.63 points to 18.01.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 294 to 222 and 104 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.15% or 0.11 to $73.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $77.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 8.50 to trade at $2,549.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.37% to 4.28, while USD/PLN rose 0.20% to 3.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 101.46.
