Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Energy and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.64% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 23.44 at the close. Meanwhile, OrangePL (WA:OPL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 4.45 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 172.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP), which fell 4.64% or 1.95 points to trade at 40.05 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 4.24% or 1.22 points to end at 27.58 and Play Communications SA (WA:PLY) was down 3.70% or 0.66 points to 17.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 323 to 140 and 153 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.24% or 1.22 to 27.58. Shares in ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) unchanged to 52-week lows; unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to 172.00. Shares in Play Communications SA (WA:PLY) fell to all time lows; losing 3.70% or 0.66 to 17.16.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.13% or 1.56 to $71.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.23% or 1.85 to hit $81.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.51% or 29.90 to trade at $1223.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.3080, while USD/PLN fell 0.68% to 3.7226.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 94.88.
