Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Basic Materials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 2.14% or 1.52 points to trade at 72.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 1.54% or 0.30 points to end at 19.80 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 1.09% or 1.10 points to 102.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 8.24% or 2.88 points to trade at 32.06 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 7.53% or 5.56 points to end at 68.24 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was down 5.84% or 24.40 points to 393.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 307 to 166 and 187 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.77% or 0.52 to $67.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.33% or 0.25 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1201.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.31% to 4.3124, while USD/PLN rose 0.18% to 3.7283.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 95.31.
