Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media, Basic Materials and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.48%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 4.61% or 10.00 points to trade at 227.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) added 1.37% or 0.08 points to end at 5.94 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was up 0.62% or 0.14 points to 22.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP), which fell 5.43% or 2.70 points to trade at 47.00 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) declined 4.81% or 4.45 points to end at 88.14 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 4.55% or 0.090 points to 1.890.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 307 to 146 and 176 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) fell to all time lows; down 4.55% or 0.090 to 1.890.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.42% or 0.29 to $70.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.29% or 0.23 to hit $78.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1197.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.41% to 4.3086, while USD/PLN rose 0.86% to 3.7248.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 95.47.
