Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Construction and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.17% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:XTB), which rose 1.76% or 1.16 points to trade at 67.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) added 0.55% or 0.13 points to end at 23.95 and CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR) was up 0.34% or 0.45 points to 134.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Text SA (WA:TXTP), which fell 5.87% or 5.00 points to trade at 80.20 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 3.65% or 5.10 points to end at 134.50 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 3.42% or 0.14 points to 3.82.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 325 to 168 and 115 ended unchanged.
Shares in Text SA (WA:TXTP) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.87% or 5.00 to 80.20.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.36% or 0.28 to $78.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.45% or 0.37 to hit $82.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 1.30 to trade at $2,328.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.42% to 4.34, while USD/PLN rose 0.74% to 4.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 105.00.
