Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.16% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which rose 5.88% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 5.34% or 0.54 points to end at 10.66 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was up 1.73% or 0.18 points to 10.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which fell 4.25% or 0.38 points to trade at 8.57 at the close. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 3.94% or 355.00 points to end at 8660.00 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) was down 3.11% or 6.60 points to 205.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 272 to 194 and 172 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kruk SA (WA:KRU) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.11% or 6.60 to 205.40.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.84% or 0.52 to $61.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.08% or 0.70 to hit $64.03 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.53% or 7.00 to trade at $1310.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.21% to 4.1846, while USD/PLN rose 0.01% to 3.4252.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 90.56.
