Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Energy and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 2.17% or 5.00 points to trade at 235.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 2.04% or 1.42 points to end at 70.92 and PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) was up 0.91% or 0.48 points to 53.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which fell 4.72% or 3.68 points to trade at 74.33 at the close. mBank SA (WA:MBK) declined 3.92% or 15.90 points to end at 390.00 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was down 3.28% or 2.39 points to 70.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 347 to 236 and 158 ended unchanged.
Shares in CCC SA (WA:CCCP) rose to all time highs; up 2.17% or 5.00 to 235.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.43% or 1.22 to $49.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.28% or 1.21 to hit $51.90 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 5.95 to trade at $1203.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.35% to 4.3248, while USD/PLN fell 0.05% to 4.0866.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 101.92.
