Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Information Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 1.97% or 4.20 points to trade at 217.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) added 0.64% or 0.60 points to end at 95.00 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was up 0.37% or 0.28 points to 74.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 6.67% or 2.26 points to trade at 31.60 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) declined 6.64% or 3.02 points to end at 42.48 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) was down 5.19% or 3.35 points to 61.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 233 to 190 and 184 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) rose to all time highs; rising 0.37% or 0.28 to 74.98.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.32% or 0.22 to $68.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.14% or 0.11 to hit $77.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.50 to trade at $1207.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.2969, while USD/PLN fell 0.73% to 3.6762.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 94.07.
