Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Developers, Construction and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.08% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 3.56% or 4.20 points to trade at 122.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 2.77% or 2.25 points to end at 83.50 and Text SA (WA:TXTP) was up 2.12% or 1.80 points to 86.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP), which fell 3.67% or 0.73 points to trade at 19.02 at the close. Allegro (WA:ALEP) declined 3.07% or 1.10 points to end at 34.78 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) was down 2.39% or 2.30 points to 94.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 332 to 183 and 97 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.73% or 1.38 to $81.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.28% or 1.07 to hit $84.80 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.90 to trade at $2,468.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.38% to 4.30, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.07% to 3.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 103.52.
