Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Construction and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which rose 1.80% or 1.45 points to trade at 81.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 1.58% or 0.47 points to end at 30.27 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) was up 0.75% or 6.50 points to 868.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT), which fell 7.69% or 220.00 points to trade at 2,640.00 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 3.02% or 0.61 points to end at 19.59 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was down 2.80% or 3.30 points to 114.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 327 to 185 and 93 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) fell to 3-years lows; losing 3.02% or 0.61 to 19.59.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.12% or 0.10 to $83.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.32% or 0.28 to hit $86.88 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 4.80 to trade at $2,334.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.00% to 4.31, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.01% to 4.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 105.48.
