Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Energy and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which rose 1.68% or 0.11 points to trade at 6.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 0.81% or 0.18 points to end at 22.34 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was up 0.64% or 0.48 points to 75.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which fell 6.58% or 12.70 points to trade at 180.30 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 4.43% or 3.10 points to end at 66.88 and Play Communications SA (WA:PLY) was down 3.64% or 0.72 points to 19.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 258 to 174 and 178 ended unchanged.
Shares in Play Communications SA (WA:PLY) fell to all time lows; falling 3.64% or 0.72 to 19.04.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.99% or 1.52 to $74.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.27% or 1.10 to hit $85.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1205.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.14% to 4.3079, while USD/PLN fell 0.12% to 3.7437.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 95.43.
