Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Telecoms and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP), which rose 2.50% or 1.40 points to trade at 57.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 1.97% or 0.90 points to end at 46.50 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 1.47% or 1.65 points to 113.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which fell 8.33% or 21.00 points to trade at 231.00 at the close. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 5.05% or 500.00 points to end at 9400.00 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was down 2.19% or 0.27 points to 12.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 269 to 222 and 186 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.51% or 0.32 to $63.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.80 to trade at $1318.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.32% to 4.1761, while USD/PLN fell 0.52% to 3.4914.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 92.01.
