Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Information Technology, Energy and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.83% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 3.73% or 0.79 points to trade at 21.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Kruk SA (WA:KRU) added 1.07% or 2.20 points to end at 207.60 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 1.05% or 1.10 points to 105.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which fell 4.62% or 0.49 points to trade at 10.11 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) declined 3.95% or 1.88 points to end at 45.70 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) was down 3.16% or 4.19 points to 128.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 282 to 193 and 179 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.21% or 0.13 to $61.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.41% or 0.26 to hit $64.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 15.20 to trade at $1320.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.19% to 4.1951, while USD/PLN fell 0.20% to 3.4062.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 89.97.
