Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Banking and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY), which rose 2.70% or 22.50 points to trade at 855.00 at the close. Meanwhile, mBank SA (WA:MBK) added 0.98% or 6.20 points to end at 641.00 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) was up 0.68% or 0.07 points to 9.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH), which fell 3.41% or 4.85 points to trade at 137.40 at the close. CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR) declined 2.66% or 4.30 points to end at 157.50 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was down 2.32% or 2.90 points to 122.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 262 to 226 and 118 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.56% or 1.27 to $80.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.27% or 1.08 to hit $84.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.98% or 48.60 to trade at $2,407.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.01% to 4.29, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.06% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.04.
