Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Information Technology, Construction and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 2.35% or 2.28 points to trade at 99.40 at the close. Meanwhile, mBank SA (WA:MBK) added 2.16% or 11.00 points to end at 521.00 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 1.84% or 1.30 points to 72.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU), which fell 3.66% or 1.68 points to trade at 44.19 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 3.41% or 0.92 points to end at 26.04 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) was down 3.39% or 7.80 points to 222.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 266 to 210 and 202 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.19% or 0.77 to $65.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.62% or 0.43 to hit $69.32 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.60 to trade at $1345.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.00% to 4.1526, while USD/PLN fell 0.62% to 3.3246.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 88.60.
