Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which rose 4.02% or 0.37 points to trade at 9.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) added 2.72% or 2.65 points to end at 100.20 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 2.58% or 1.16 points to 46.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which fell 7.97% or 17.10 points to trade at 197.50 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 2.80% or 2.67 points to end at 92.56 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was down 2.76% or 0.28 points to 9.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 239 to 215 and 183 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.53% or 1.07 to $69.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.91% or 0.69 to hit $74.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1223.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.13% to 4.2763, while USD/PLN rose 0.16% to 3.6540.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.27.
