Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Information Technology and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP), which rose 4.91% or 3.90 points to trade at 83.40 at the close. Meanwhile, PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) added 4.50% or 0.48 points to end at 11.14 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 4.49% or 4.01 points to 93.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which fell 5.82% or 11.00 points to trade at 178.00 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) declined 4.98% or 2.80 points to end at 53.40 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was down 3.81% or 0.75 points to 18.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 333 to 230 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.98% or 2.80 to 53.40.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 4.15% or 2.49 to $57.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 4.04% or 2.83 to hit $67.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1203.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.35% to 4.2896, while USD/PLN fell 0.94% to 3.8011.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 96.97.
