Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Information Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.53%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which rose 3.40% or 5.10 points to trade at 155.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) added 2.84% or 0.26 points to end at 9.40 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was up 1.94% or 0.18 points to 9.48 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which fell 7.35% or 1.80 points to trade at 22.70 at the close. PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) declined 2.20% or 1.00 points to end at 44.50 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was down 1.61% or 0.17 points to 10.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 239 to 183 and 173 ended unchanged.

Shares in Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 7.35% or 1.80 to 22.70.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.29% or 0.19 to $66.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.65% or 0.49 to hit $76.37 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1301.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was down 0.14% to 4.2752, while USD/PLN fell 0.50% to 3.6266.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 93.56.
