Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Construction and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE), which rose 1.89% or 0.25 points to trade at 13.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) added 1.81% or 2.35 points to end at 132.32 and Synthos SA (WA:SNS) was up 1.64% or 0.080 points to 4.960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 3.89% or 350.40 points to trade at 8665.50 at the close. Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) declined 3.85% or 0.38 points to end at 9.50 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) was down 3.36% or 2.05 points to 58.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 258 to 235 and 187 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.38% or 0.19 to $49.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $55.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.29 to trade at $1327.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.04% to 4.2784, while USD/PLN fell 0.27% to 3.5786.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 91.80.
