Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Banking and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.48% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which rose 3.11% or 0.40 points to trade at 13.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) added 2.61% or 1.50 points to end at 59.00 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 2.36% or 2.83 points to 122.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 3.49% or 299.95 points to trade at 8300.00 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 2.87% or 8.30 points to end at 281.00 and Bank Zachodni WBK SA (WA:BZW) was down 2.81% or 10.10 points to 349.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 269 to 200 and 210 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.57% or 0.30 to $51.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.01% or 0.59 to hit $57.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 8.16 to trade at $1303.34 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.33% to 4.2874, while USD/PLN rose 1.02% to 3.6437.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 93.00.
