Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 1.86% or 0.82 points to trade at 44.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 1.39% or 0.58 points to end at 42.20 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 1.09% or 0.92 points to 85.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which fell 6.74% or 13.00 points to trade at 180.00 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 2.79% or 2.14 points to end at 74.70 and OrangePL (WA:OPL) was down 1.89% or 0.09 points to 4.67.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 213 to 185 and 203 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kruk SA (WA:KRU) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.74% or 13.00 to 180.00.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.11% or 0.81 to $73.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.47% or 0.36 to hit $77.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.50 to trade at $1255.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.22% to 4.3615, while USD/PLN fell 0.19% to 3.7157.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 93.79.
