Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media, Banking and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which rose 2.08% or 1.16 points to trade at 57.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 1.80% or 0.17 points to end at 9.63 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 1.69% or 2.70 points to 162.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP), which fell 3.40% or 0.29 points to trade at 8.23 at the close. Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) declined 2.48% or 8.70 points to end at 342.00 and Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) was down 2.09% or 55.00 points to 2,580.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 312 to 190 and 92 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.59% or 3.13 to $71.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 4.24% or 3.04 to hit $74.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 26.10 to trade at $2,685.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.15% to 4.29, while USD/PLN rose 0.85% to 3.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 101.00.
