Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Chemicals and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 3.37% or 0.61 points to trade at 18.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) added 3.20% or 1.60 points to end at 51.60 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 2.99% or 5.60 points to 192.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 3.16% or 1.00 points to trade at 30.60 at the close. Play Communications SA (WA:PLY) declined 2.09% or 0.42 points to end at 19.70 and PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) was down 1.88% or 0.90 points to 47.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 229 to 210 and 164 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.16% or 1.00 to 30.60. Shares in Play Communications SA (WA:PLY) fell to all time lows; falling 2.09% or 0.42 to 19.70.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.82% or 1.33 to $74.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.80% or 1.49 to hit $84.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.40 to trade at $1192.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.05% to 4.2828, while USD/PLN rose 0.38% to 3.7026.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 94.98.
