Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 5.06% or 1.76 points to trade at 36.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) added 3.69% or 2.05 points to end at 57.55 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was up 3.54% or 0.37 points to 10.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which fell 4.72% or 8.00 points to trade at 161.60 at the close. mBank SA (WA:MBK) declined 4.01% or 18.80 points to end at 450.60 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) was down 3.95% or 0.37 points to 9.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 251 to 199 and 199 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.85% or 0.45 to $53.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.61% or 0.37 to hit $61.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 17.25 to trade at $1297.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.02% to 4.2867, while USD/PLN fell 0.88% to 3.7578.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 95.547.
