Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Information Technology, Banking and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.30% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 3.25% or 0.37 points to trade at 11.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) added 3.24% or 80.00 points to end at 2,550.00 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was up 2.32% or 2.70 points to 119.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Text SA (WA:TXTP), which fell 4.06% or 3.50 points to trade at 82.80 at the close. Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) declined 3.60% or 0.34 points to end at 8.97 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) was down 2.48% or 2.44 points to 96.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 268 to 258 and 93 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.13% or 1.67 to $76.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.10% or 1.73 to hit $80.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.32% or 30.95 to trade at $2,384.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.19% to 4.27, while USD/PLN fell 0.30% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.09.
