Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction, Basic Materials and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which rose 3.89% or 0.35 points to trade at 9.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) added 3.11% or 0.28 points to end at 9.28 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 2.83% or 0.27 points to 9.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which fell 2.64% or 1.48 points to trade at 54.52 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 2.40% or 5.40 points to end at 220.00 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was down 1.33% or 2.40 points to 178.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 244 to 179 and 171 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.41% or 0.28 to $68.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.54% or 1.16 to hit $74.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.70 to trade at $1268.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.53% to 4.3453, while USD/PLN rose 0.16% to 3.7146.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.00.
