Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Energy, Basic Materials and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 2.66% or 1.40 points to trade at 54.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) added 2.59% or 0.22 points to end at 8.72 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) was up 2.49% or 240.00 points to 9890.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which fell 4.14% or 6.00 points to trade at 139.00 at the close. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) declined 3.69% or 0.090 points to end at 2.350 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was down 3.46% or 0.37 points to 10.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 261 to 210 and 169 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.41% or 0.29 to $70.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.14% or 0.88 to hit $78.00 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1319.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.03% to 4.2666, while USD/PLN fell 0.31% to 3.5632.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.25.
