Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Construction and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 4.67% or 2.71 points to trade at 60.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Synthos SA (WA:SNS) added 4.37% or 0.200 points to end at 4.780 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was up 3.77% or 0.36 points to 9.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which fell 2.64% or 0.37 points to trade at 13.64 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 2.24% or 0.35 points to end at 15.25 and Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) was down 1.73% or 0.12 points to 6.83.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 270 to 231 and 166 ended unchanged.
Shares in Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) rose to 3-years highs; rising 3.77% or 0.36 to 9.90.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.74% or 1.26 to $47.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.61% or 1.83 to hit $52.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 9.14 to trade at $1323.24 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.04% to 4.2514, while USD/PLN fell 0.08% to 3.5762.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 92.77.
