Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Telecoms and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 5.11% or 2.45 points to trade at 50.40 at the close. Meanwhile, CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) added 4.27% or 8.60 points to end at 209.80 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was up 2.50% or 1.44 points to 58.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which fell 3.35% or 6.80 points to trade at 196.00 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) declined 2.93% or 0.26 points to end at 8.62 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 2.75% or 0.060 points to 2.120.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 240 to 194 and 182 ended unchanged.
Shares in CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.27% or 8.60 to 209.80. Shares in Energa SA (WA:ENGP) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.93% or 0.26 to 8.62.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.42% or 0.28 to $67.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.65% or 0.47 to hit $72.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1227.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.27% to 4.3080, while USD/PLN rose 0.31% to 3.6959.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 94.77.
